THE DIRECTIVE: The prime directive
is to initiate, inspire, excite, innovate, and support a new generation of artist.
We seek and use the workshops and commissioning programs listed below as
an opportunity to unearth talent and provide a pathway, to train for formal,
informal, performances and experiences.
LECUTRE DEMONSTRATIONS: (40 minutes to an hour)
Face Da Phlaves, will do lecture demonstrations that will consist of an educational performance that explains the history of Hip Hop dance that will give positive influences to our youth through speech and technique demonstrations of all the Hip Hop dance styles.
WORKSHOPS: (60 to 90 minutes)
The workshop program will be focused on the development of Urban Art skills and techniques. We will be conducting young emerging talents, offering support and performance opportunities. One or two members of Face Da Phlave per class, will teach one of the five styles: breaking, popping, locking, hip hop, or house.
SHOWS & PERFORMANCES: (40 minutes to an hour)
Face Da Phlave has a number of theatrical shows that will take you through a positive educational journey through the history of hip hop dance. Through positive messages, Face Da Phlave brings the feel of Hip Hop theater right to you.
SUMMER SCHOOLS: Face Da Phlave offers week long workshops in all five styles that lead up to possible performances or theatrical shows. Each day students will train in all five styles. At the end of each week they will be able to perform what they have learned.
